About me

After a long career in the countryside sector working in outdoor education and volunteer coordination I retrained to be a psychotherapist.  I became a therapist for several reasons but mainly because I want to help people live happy and successful lives. I have a down to earth and grounded manner,  I call a spade a spade and I hope this makes therapy easier to understand and engage with, life is complicated enough, wellbeing shouldn’t be.

I am a qualified CBT and EMDR therapist. I am accredited with the BABCP and BACP. Please see my list of relevant qualifications and accreditations below.  I have also attended a number of further training courses to add to my therapy tool box.  I can draw from my varied knowledge base to provide effective one to one therapy.

I have worked in the NHS since 2016. First as an Honorary CBT Therapist then Psychological Therapist in the Local Primary Mental Health Support Service.  Since 2019 I have worked for Veterans NHS Wales as a Therapist specialising in military related mental health difficulties and trauma.

I am passionate about the outdoors and the health benefits that can be gained from immersing ourselves in nature.  This is why I offer therapy in the outdoors,  I feel that my clients are getting a double whammy of benefits by having evidence based therapies in a green space.  Even the rain can’t take away natures healing properties.
