About me

About me

I am a  qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) based in Swansea, South Wales.  I trained to be a therapist after volunteering with the Samaritans.  I realised how many people are struggling and battling through everyday life.  My previous experience includes working in corporate stress management, NHS Primary Care and IESO the online digital healthcare, a service offered by the IAPT, England.

Before retraining as a therapist I had a long career working in the countryside sector.  My roles involved engaging people in the countryside using events, volunteering opportunities and educational activities.  My experiences of working with a wide variety of people in this way first sparked my interest in mental health and benefits of being in the outdoors.  Without exception, during my 20 year career I saw an improvement in the mood of every person I worked with in the outdoors.

I am passionate about providing a caring,  meaningful and robust therapy that combines the practicality of CBT with harmony that is achieved from being in nature.  I am naturally empathic, practical and down to earth, this comes across in my therapy to provide a safe and caring environment  with an emphasis on helping you to achieve your goals.

I am a registered member of the BACP and work in accordance with the BABCP code of conduct.  I offer both face to face and online therapy using Skype.  Find out a little more about CBT and Ecotherapy or contact me for more information.

I am passionate about helping people to overcome their problems and lead a more fulfilling life.
