About me

From 2016 to 2023 I worked in the NHS in various departments as a Psychological Therapist. I specialised in trauma and PTSD within Veterans NHS Wales for four years.   Prior to this I worked in the Local Primary Mental Health Support Service as a psychological therapist.  I am trained in EMDR and an accredited CBT therapist.

I am passionate about the outdoors and the health benefits that can be gained from connecting with nature.  This is why I offer therapy in the outdoors.  I feel that my clients are getting a double whammy of benefits by having evidence based therapies in a green space.  Even the rain can’t take away natures healing properties.

After a long career in the countryside sector working in outdoor education and volunteer coordination I retrained to be a psychotherapist.  I became a therapist for several reasons but mainly because I want to help people live happy and successful lives. I have a down to earth and grounded manner, I call a spade a spade and I hope this makes therapy easier to understand and engage with. Life is complicated enough, wellbeing shouldn’t be.

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and EMDR practitioner. I am accredited with the BABCP and BACP. Please see my list of relevant qualifications and accreditations below.  I have also attended a number of further training courses to add to my therapy tool box.  I can draw from my varied knowledge base to provide effective one to one therapy.
